I can safely recommend Garmin GPS units
I used the new Garmin (NASDAQ:GRMN) Nuvi 610 on the weekend, for its first test: A drive from London to Gosport (near Portsmouth) on the English coast, about 90mins drive away.
The unit handled the trip perfectly, even directing me to a Petrol station along the way.
We found where we were going (Museum of Naval Firepower) by looking for the museum in the included list of attractions.
No stuffing around with a Map, and no arguments on the directions to take to get there. All I had to concentrate on was driving in foul English weather.
